Hotel Les Gourmets is transforming
Hotel Les Gourmets, a charming and welcoming 3-star establishment, is about to unveil its new identity as Hotel Lyret. After extensive renovations, the hotel will reopen its doors in December 2024, offering a unique and refreshed experience for all visitors.
Welcome to Hotel Lyret
An Evocative Name
The new name, Lyret, is rooted in the Latin word “glarea,” meaning gravel, in homage to the texture and authenticity of the region. It also references the street and neighborhood surrounding the hotel, grounding the establishment in its local context while adding a modern touch to its history. An Ideal Location
Nestled in a peaceful street in the heart of Chamonix, Hotel Lyret offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. Guests will enjoy a beautifully landscaped garden by the river and a summer pool, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the Alps.Elegant Alpine Style
Hotel Lyret stands out for its warm yet elegant Alpine style. This ambitious project combines art and hospitality to create an exceptional atmosphere. Six international artists have been invited to create permanent works inspired by the stunning local environment, bringing a unique artistic dimension to the hotel. An Inspiring Collaboration
This project is the result of a collaboration between Mont-Blanc Collection, Emmanuelle de Laage from Decalaage Intérieur, and Laurène Maréchal. They have combined their talents to transform the former Hotel Les Gourmets into a place where art and charm harmoniously meet. Martin Devictor explains: “Eric Pantalacci, a descendant of a family of hoteliers and restaurateurs for four generations in the valley, handed over his establishment to Mont-Blanc Collection in 2022, paving the way for this new venture. This family has been an iconic figure in the neighborhood, and I wanted to celebrate both this history and the beauty of the region in the Hotel Lyret project. In dialogue with interior architect Emmanuelle de Laage, curator Laurène Maréchal, and six talented artists, we have designed a space where art and charm come together to offer an inspiring and memorable experience.” Don’t miss the opportunity to discover the new Hotel Lyret at its opening in December 2024.
