peinture et œuvre de sandra liccioni

3 Drawings

Sandra Liccioni is an artist, whom she likes to define as a “painter of cosmos”. Of French-Vietnamese origin, she has lived in the Chamonix valley since the mid-1990s. In this unique setting, she has made a name for herself with her large-format pointillist paintings. Her colorful drawings on paper, influenced by Western culture and Aboriginal motifs, depict landscapes between heaven and earth, marked by powerful symbols and cosmic imagery.

“The mountain I live on is an incredible source of inspiration. A secret space, an exceptional place, like a privilege or a gift from nature, the perfect place for me to express myself freely. I’m better here. My strength, human wisdom, life, the elements, the sky, the immensity… it all inspires me to create.”

Largely influenced by the world of electronic music that accompanies her daily life, Sandra Liccioni composes her works to the rhythm of the music and the elements that surround her. Felt-tips, pencils and acrylics draw bewitching motifs on medium to monumental formats. The Chamonix valley, plunged into night, brings the artist close to the stars. Her works transcribe her metaphysical experience and transport the viewer into an interstellar world.

For the Lyret Hotel, Sandra Liccioni presents three works on paper. Inspired by hiking maps, the drawings feature sinuous lines, dotted lines and crosses. The artist revisits these maps and imagines new, almost abstract geographies. In these compositions, terrestrial lines seem to intertwine with celestial ones, and the profusion of colors lets us imagine a cosmic, sublime encounter.
